Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is an umbrella term for all treatments that use water for therapeutic results.

Thermotherapy

To administer heat therapy, I use a moist heat pack. It offers up to 30 minutes of deep and comforting heat.

The therapeutic effects of heat:

-Relieves pain

-Decreases muscular spasms

-Aids in the healing of tissues

-Increases flexibility

-Acts as an anti-inflammatory in the chronic stage of an injury

Cryotherapy

I use gel compresses in order to offer cold therapy.

The therapeutic effects of cold:

-Relieves pain

-Acts as an anti-inflammatory in the acute stage of an injury

-Protects tissues

-Decreases swelling and hemorrhages
